              | YOUTH TOURNAMENT LONG POND LAKEVILLE MAY 15, 2010 The first youth tournament of the year was Great! We had thirty eight jr anglers out on twenty boats. This strong support from our volunteer boaters shows what a great organization we are. Thanks guys for making our first tournament of the year a great success! Long Pond had just opened up after being closed for the spring. For a while we thought we were going to Congamond (our backup site), but at the last minute the lake was re-opened. I think having the tournament at Long Pond helped our boater support immensely. Unfortunately the wind was a factor. Most kids caught fish, however, there were only two limits caught. After all was said and done, the results were: Beginner division was won by Nate Lacombe. Jr division- 1st place with a five fish limit went to Josh Jacques with 6.67 lbs. 2nd place went to Max Danese with 3 fish weighing 6.54 lbs. 3rd place went to Phil Conigliaro with 2 fish weighing 4.07 lbs. Sr division- 1st place with a five fish limit went to Rob Ramasci with 8.64 lbs. 2nd place went to Jeff Gaspar with 3 fish weighing 6.67 lbs. 3rd place went to Richie Vespa with 3 fishweighing 6.13 lbs. The lunker of the day was caught by Noah Cousineau weighing 4.11 lbs. Great job by all! After the tournament we had a cookout followed by raffles and awards. Thanks to all who helped out. Special thanks to Brian Canada who has become our cook and now even brings the grill. With everyone helping out in different ways it made the day a fun, safe, and successful tournament.
