2017 Massachusetts Bass Federation Junior & High School Anglers Seminar & Sign-up

The Massachusetts Bass Federation held its annual Junior and High School Angler Seminar and Sign-up event on Sunday January 29th at the Riverside Gun Club.  The event was hosted by Federation Youth Officer Bob Rivet.  The seminars were put on by three of the best young angler in the Federation.  They were 2016 State Champion Brian Wheeler and Matt Allen from South Shore Bassmasters.  Brian and Matt are two top finishers in almost every event they fish.  Also on hand was Bruce Burns one of the best anglers on the Federation Trail and another top angler in every event he fishes.  They gave detailed talks on casting, rods, reels, setup, as well as the tackle needed to flip, pitch and cast.  The event closed out with a pizza party and question and answer by the anglers in attendance.  The event was sponsored by Reynolds Boats from Lyme, Connecticut.  Reynolds Boats has been a youth sponsor for the past 4 years.  Thanks to Brian, Matt and Bruce for giving up their time to help out the Federation Junior and High School Angler program.
